The Chamber's Commerce Committee intends to present an initiative to the National Commercial Committee at the Council of Saudi Chambers, which includes a number of proposals from the Eastern Province's commercial sector to support the resettlement process in light of the decisions of 12 economic sectors.

In this regard, a meeting was held on Monday, September 3, 2018 at the headquarters of the Chamber, and chaired by the Chairman of the Committee Hani bin Hassan Al-Afalq that discussed the idea of the initiative and its terms.

Members of the Committee agreed to include all the topics already discussed by the Committee's Working Group with the Advisor of the Ministry of Labor and Social Development Sultan Al-Mutairi.

The conference dealt with the decisions of Saudization for 12 activities, which have a direct impact on the commercial sector. The most important thing addressed by the members is the importance of the success of these decisions to achieve the objectives of the ministry and the most important to find job opportunities for the unemployed people.

On the other hand, the Committee approved the establishment of the expanded meeting of the commercial sector during the months of November and December to implement it.

The Committee's members also discussed the remaining activities of the committee during 2018 as it was agreed that the Committee would communicate with a number of concerned government agencies, most notably the branch of the General Authority for Zakat and Tax in the Eastern Province.
